The HTLC Tribune is a community-led, youth-powered home for stories, art, and ideas that move with rhythm and purpose. We celebrate culture in full color, lift voices that carry wisdom, and share truths that open hearts and stir action. Every ad and subscription fuels stipends for youth, incarcerated, and community writers, and powers programs that grow our collective creative and cultural strength.

Dear Beloved Community,

 

Welcome to the HTLC Tribune. Community-led. Youth-powered. Wisdom-filled. We are a digital publication devoted to honoring truth, celebrating culture, and shaping freedom through our own stories.

 

Here, truth is sacred, culture is collective, and freedom is crafted. We honor the voices that came before us and hold space for the ones rising now. Our contributors are more than writers and artists; they are witnesses, historians, visionaries, and builders. They are young people sharpening their skills as journalists, poets, cartoonists, and truth-tellers. They are griot elders safeguarding memory and wisdom. They are community members behind the wall, testifying across barriers. Every piece our contributors create is a thread in a larger tapestry of remembrance, resistance, and renewal.​

We exist because we know the media can erase us, or elevate us. We choose elevation. And to keep elevating our stories, we need the community’s hands, hearts, and resources.
